We are really excited to finally reveal the Hawthorne Modern project! If you've been following along, we recently revealed the living room area for this project. If you didn't catch that post, you can find that here. As we mentioned in that post, this was a newer build home that already had a lot of great features & a really nice open layout, but needed some warmth and coziness infused into the space with new furnishings and lighting.
In choosing furnishings for the space we had to be sure the furnishings in the kitchen & dining room were cohesive with the living room. We wanted to continue the minimal yet cozy look/feel from the living room and bring that into this space.
For the kitchen we wanted to keep things very clean & minimal, but still casual and inviting. We selected new pendants for above the island and new island counter stools.
Before
The client wasn't a fan of the previous pendants over the island and we agreed that they were a bit "matchy matchy" with the dining pendant. We selected these beautiful new pendants from Allied Maker (below).
As for the counter stools, we selected the Spine Stool from Space Copenhagen in a gorgeous nude leather top and matte black spine accent. They really continue the minimal yet warm & inviting feel in the space.
In the dining room, we wanted to keep the look & feel cohesive with the living room and kitchen but bring in a bit of color.
The touch of olive green from these casually beautiful Harbour Side Chairs by Menu brought in just the right amount of color.
We paired the chairs with this GORGEOUS Artisan Wu Table by Studio Pang. So lovely!
We love the warm & inviting, yet clean & minimal feel of this space! What do you think?!?
Stay tuned as we head upstairs to reveal the rest of the Hawthorne Modern project!
